Dreams

I'm never one to really dream a lot, or at least remember them. When I do, though, it seems completely real to me, even if the situation isn't at all believable. Often if my dream-self is doing something I would never normally do, I somehow feel apprehension or guilty even when I'm asleep. Of course, it's all better when I wake up because hey! It's only a dream. Yeah.

Another little interesting thing I've learned is how to completely force myself to wake up. It's a bit disorienting, but it works if the dream I'm having is on the nightmarish side. This doesn't happen a whole lot anymore, though. When I was a lot younger, I'd dream almost every night, and now I wouldn't doubt if it's once a month or less. Oh well. I just woke up and figured it'd be good to write about while it was still fresh in my mind.

  1. Nice - there's all sorts of tips and tricks to dreaming I could give you. I guess I'll start by saying you do dream every night, you just grow used to it over time. If you keep a dream journal and recount your dream to yourself after waking (before moving your muscles as this will start to erase the dream), write it in the journal, and you will have many more to share with us!

  5. Just think of something as your falling asleep and you should dream about it. Works for me. Also, watch Inception :)

  7. I kinda learned to force myself to wake up from nightmares too. I actually can do it if I can make myself go to sleep in my dream. Its strange but it works for me.

  15. Dreams are an interesting thing, sleep in general I suppose. I'm like you in the aspect that when I dream it feels totally real. However I've never been able to force wake myself.

  18. I legitimately understand you. It feels like sometimes I'm having dreams that are so real when I wake up I have to make sure it's real. :)
