Dream Log #3

Aha! I remembered a good amount of the dream I had today. It seems that since I've been keeping this log, I've been dreaming more often.

So, the first part I remembered was being on a plane with a few people that I can remember seeing later. From what I can remember, the ride didn't last very long. It was me, two other girls, and a boy, all appearing to be in highschool. Some time later, I was hanging out with the group in the terminal while we waited for our connecting flight, when all of a sudden my mother comes out of one of the doors. I wasn't entirely sure how she got there, bit I distinctly remember her saying that she wanted to be with her mother, whom I suppose was somehow on the same flight as I was. I didn't see her for the rest of the dream except for a brief moment later on where I passed them sitting together in a cluster of chairs.

Between there and the next part I remember is a bit fuzzy. Though this next part is a little odd. However long it had been from there, I was suddenly in my middle school gymnasium, where everyone was dressed for prom or some-such. What I distinctly remember the most from this part was that the people I'd been with were there, and that I was wearing a bright red dress. It was then that one of aforementioned girls beckoned me to the floor (myself and everyone else had been sitting in the bleachers) where I guess some sort of choreographed dance number was going to take place. There, everyone on the floor opened with the chicken dance before breaking off into a waltz or something similar. I had no idea what I was doing from there, so I kind of just walked around in places that seemed like I would fit in with the dance. Towards the end, it was just me and the same two girls from before, and the one in the middle ran through the group of boys that I supposed was part of the routine. Finally, me and the remaining girl ran to our respective partner, where we were spun around a number of times. After that, I don't remember anything else from the gymnasium portion of the dream.

Now, the "ending" was a little weird. It was very brief, but I remember it clearly. A worn book with a burgundy cover shut itself, and two strange creatures appeared and started bantering between themselves. They were both snake-like creatures, though they appeared especially slimy. One was very large and the other, I assumed, was its offspring and much smaller. I can't remember exactly what they said, but they did talk for a short time before disappearing under this lake that had suddenly appeared. That's when I woke up.

Yeah, this was a long one, but I'm glad I remembered as much as I did. Any questions or comments can be left below. I didn't realize before now that I can comment back and stuff, so yay for me! Once again, thanks for all the advice and interest concerning this subject. I really appreciate it!

  9. I'm a sucker for described dreams, there are only few things I love more than remembering dreams crystal clear. I once had a full week of dreaming where every night's dream was a continuation of last night's, that was a really cool experience. Have you ever had something like that?

  11. @Jacob

I think when I was a lot younger, I kept dreaming of this Jurassic Park type scenario. Can't exactly recall if each picked up where the last left off, but I do remember them all being somewhat similar.
